Aga Khan University Hospital Nairobi (AKUH,N) is East Africa’s most comprehensive private hospital, founded in 1958 by His Highness Aga Khan IV. Located at 3rd Parklands Avenue, Limuru Road, Nairobi, it is a 300-bed tertiary and teaching hospital affiliated with Aga Khan University. It was the first hospital in the region to be accredited by the US-based Joint Commission International (JCI) and its clinical laboratory was the first hospital-based lab in Kenya to be accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP).

The hospital operates as a not-for-profit institution and is financially self-sustaining. It offers over 60 specialist services including a Heart and Cancer Centre providing specialist cancer care and interventional cardiac and open heart surgical care. Since 2024, AKUH,N also offers Home Care services in Nairobi. The hospital serves as a major referral centre for East Africa and holds ISO 9001:2015 certification.
