📋 About Coptic Hospital

Coptic Hospital is a Level 5 mission hospital established in the 1970s by the Coptic Orthodox Church, under the Christian Health Association of Kenya. The main hospital is located along Ngong Road, opposite China Centre, at the junction between Kindaruma Lane and Rose Avenue in Nairobi’s Kilimani area. Coptic has grown from a single facility into a wider regional network, now operating five hospital locations across Kenya, Zambia, Congo, Nigeria, and Tanzania, with a second Nairobi branch in Industrial Area and an additional branch in Maseno, Vihiga County.

The hospital offers comprehensive care under one roof — emergency, maternity, surgery, and specialist clinics including obstetrics and gynaecology, dermatology, psychiatry, ophthalmology, dentistry, cardiology, and oncology. Coptic Hospital’s recently expanded facilities have increased capacity to serve a large number of patients as both outpatients and inpatients, while keeping a strong focus on affordability without compromising quality. The hospital’s ISO 15189:2012 certified laboratory, Siemens Somatom 128-slice CT scanner, and digital X-ray services with same-day reporting support its reputation as a leading medical institution in the region.

Maternity Patient, Nairobi · April 2026
★★★★★

“I delivered my baby at Coptic and had a VIP experience in the maternity wing. Services were prompt and the team was professional throughout labour and after. Would recommend to anyone looking for maternity care in Nairobi.”

D
Daniel Kiptoo
Outpatient, Nairobi · February 2026
★★★★★

“One of the most trustworthy hospitals in Kenya — they don’t hike prices and give a clear bill for exactly what you were treated for. Great doctors, clean facility, and even a decent affordable restaurant on site.”

M
Mercy Wangui
Surgical Patient, Nairobi · December 2025
★★★☆☆

“Doctors and theatre team were excellent for my surgery, but nursing care on the surgical ward needs improvement — response times were slow at times and some staff came across as disengaged. The core medical care was good; the ward experience could be better.”

J
John Wanjala
Dental Patient, Industrial Area · October 2025
★★★★☆

“Went for a root canal at the Industrial Area branch. Dentist was friendly and professional, and pricing was clearly explained upfront. Waiting time before getting attended to could be quicker on busy mornings, but the treatment itself was well done.”
