Kingdom Bank Limited was formerly known as Jamii Bora Bank before the Co-operative Bank of Kenya received regulatory approval on 7th August 2020 to acquire a 90% shareholding in the institution. The bank formally rebranded to Kingdom Bank Kenya Limited on 25th August 2020, continuing operations as one of the 42 licensed commercial banks in Kenya. Kingdom Bank’s head office, Kingdom Bank Towers, is located along Argwings Kodhek Road in Kilimani, Nairobi.
As a proud subsidiary of the Co-operative Bank of Kenya, Kingdom Bank is dedicated to supporting the financial growth of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), including youth and women-owned businesses, alongside retail customers and select corporates. As of December 2023, the bank reported total assets of KES 36.7 billion, profit before tax of KES 1.08 billion, and interest income of KES 3.7 billion. Kingdom Bank operates a network of 27 branches and growing, offering savings, loans, mobile and internet banking, foreign exchange services, and dedicated diaspora banking accounts designed for convenient daily transactions by Kenyans living abroad.
