LOOP Digital Financial Services (LOOP DFS), the fintech arm of NCBA Group, has launched LOOP BIZ+, an integrated platform that brings payments, inventory management, credit and a digital marketplace into one system for Kenyan small and medium enterprises.

The company announced the product on Thursday, 29 October 2026. It targets merchants who currently juggle separate tools for taking payments, tracking stock and applying for loans.

What LOOP BIZ+ Includes

At the centre of the platform is a point-of-sale device that accepts Visa and Mastercard cards, contactless NFC payments, mobile money and LOOP transactions on a single terminal. Merchants can also use the same payment rails through the LOOP BIZ app and a web portal.

Funds can settle into any bank account the merchant chooses. The platform also offers a cloud-based inventory tool that updates stock levels automatically when a sale is made and flags items that are moving slowly.

On the credit side, LOOP BIZ+ uses the merchant’s own transaction history on the platform to assess eligibility for overdrafts, quick loans, supplier credit lines that pay wholesalers directly, and longer-term financing. Credit is subject to NCBA’s normal eligibility checks.

FeatureWhat It Does
LOOP BIZ PDQAccepts cards, NFC, mobile money and LOOP on one device
Inventory toolTracks stock in real time and sends restock alerts
Working capitalOverdrafts, quick loans and supplier credit based on sales data
LOOP DiscoverLists products to more than 500,000 LOOP app users

Why the Platform Exists

Sheila Kimani, Chief Commercial Officer at LOOP DFS, said many business owners still manage payments, stock, marketing and financing through separate channels. LOOP BIZ+ is designed to bring those functions under one onboarding and one relationship.

The platform also includes LOOP Discover, which lets merchants list products and run promotions that appear to users of the LOOP consumer app. LOOP DFS has put the size of that audience at more than 500,000 active users.

Larger businesses that already run their own systems can connect via open APIs so they can use LOOP’s payment and credit rails without replacing their existing software.

Bottom Line

LOOP BIZ+ is NCBA’s attempt to give Kenyan SMEs a single digital system for taking payments, tracking stock and accessing credit. Whether it reduces the friction of running a small business will depend on how smoothly the tools work together in daily use and how readily merchants can access the credit products once they start transacting on the platform.
