How many KMTC campuses are there?

KMTC has over 90 campuses spread across 45 of Kenya's 47 counties. Kirinyaga and Samburu are currently the only counties without a KMTC campus.

How do I apply to KMTC?

Visit admissions.kmtc.ac.ke or the KUCCPS portal to create an account and submit your application online. Intakes happen twice a year, in March and September. Note that government-sponsored students go through a centralised placement process and may not choose their campus, while privately sponsored students can select their preferred campus.

What courses does KMTC offer?

KMTC offers more than 50 health programmes across Certificate, Diploma, and Higher Diploma levels, including Nursing, Clinical Medicine, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Nutrition, Pharmaceutical Technology, Radiography, Community Health, and more.

What are the entry requirements for KMTC diploma courses?

Diploma programmes typically require a minimum KCSE mean grade of C (plain), with specific subject requirements depending on the course. For example, the popular Diploma in Nursing requires a C in English/Kiswahili, Biology, and either Mathematics or Physics. Certificate programmes require a minimum mean grade of C- (minus).

How much are KMTC fees?

Fees vary by programme. For example, a Diploma in Nursing can cost between KSh 70,000 and KSh 120,000 per year for tuition alone, with additional charges for skills lab fees, meals, and accommodation. Government-sponsored students typically pay significantly less than self-sponsored students.
