📋 About MansaX

MansaX is a suite of special collective investment schemes managed by Standard Investment Bank (SIB) under the Standard Investment Trust Funds (SITF) umbrella. It gives Kenyan investors access to multi-asset strategies that include global equities, fixed income, currencies, commodities and other instruments, using long and short positions. The name draws from the historical figure Mansa Musa.

SIB developed the strategy in the mid-2010s. In August 2024 the bank received a CMA licence to operate Special Collective Investment Schemes. MansaX then operated formally as the MansaX Special Fund (KES and USD) and the corresponding Shariah-compliant versions.

The broader SITF platform that houses MansaX reached KES 188 billion in assets under management by the end of June 2026, according to SIB’s account, making it one of the largest collective investment schemes in Kenya at that time. The individual Mansa-X KES fund stood at approximately KES 163.8 billion and the USD fund at approximately KES 20.6 billion at the same date. Later reports indicate the umbrella AUM has continued to grow.

Published net returns for the Mansa-X Special Fund–KES include 20.74% for calendar year 2025 and 10.97% for the first half of 2026. Quarterly figures such as 4.71% net in Q3 2026 have also been reported by the manager. Past performance is not a guarantee of future results. Minimums, fees, lock-in periods and other terms are set out in the current fact sheet and should be confirmed directly with SIB before investing.
