Bidco Africa Limited is East and Central Africa’s leading manufacturer and marketer of Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG). The company was started in 1985 as a small soap manufacturing plant in Nairobi and has since grown into one of Africa’s most respected consumer goods companies, with its headquarters at the 84-acre Bidco Industrial Park on General Kago Road in Thika Town, Kiambu County. In 2019 President Uhuru Kenyatta officially opened the state-of-the-art Bidco Industrial Park in Ruiru, a facility equipped with advanced German machinery and digital automation systems with minimal human interface. The group’s annual revenue reached $848 million as of 2026.
Bidco operates across three core product categories — Edible Oils & Fats, Hygiene & Personal Care, and Food & Beverages with over 40 brands distributed in 60+ countries across Africa and beyond. The company partners with thousands of local farmers, provides training and fair pricing through its sustainable agricultural practices programme, and employs thousands of people across Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
