Tower Sacco was established on 15th September 1976 to serve primary school teachers, and has since grown to draw membership from a much wider base including government ministries, the Teachers Service Commission, Kenya Defence Forces, Kenya Police Force, Administration Police, and Kenya Prisons Service. The Sacco was licensed by the Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA) as a Deposit-Taking Sacco on 28th July 2011, after meeting all regulatory requirements. Its headquarters are at Tower Sacco Plaza, along the OlKalou-Nakuru Road in OlKalou Town, Nyandarua County.
Tower Sacco has grown into a nationwide financial institution with 31 branches across 9 counties, supported by a network of more than 300 agents, internet banking, and mobile banking, aiming to be the accessible, universal Sacco of choice for excellent and vibrant economic growth. The Sacco offers a full range of savings and credit products with quick loan processing and affordable rates, along with land purchase opportunities for members. Tower Sacco also partners with various banks for investment opportunities including Fixed Deposit Receipts (FDRs), funds transfer platforms such as RTGS, cheque clearing, and Visa-branded ATM card processing, and maintains dedicated diaspora services for Kenyans abroad.
